@Gargron In the upcoming v3.3, some clients will crash due to the new status notifications they receive from the streaming server. Previously, the same thing happened with poll notifications.

Currently, tootoise has completed its support and SocialHub is in the process of supporting it.
tootle is a popular client, but it's going to take some time to support it.
@noellabo Oh no, I’m so sorry 😭 There might be even more types in future versions though (e.g. in-app account warnings?), I hope developers can fix their code to expect unknown types going forward...
@Gargron When asked why it did not correspond to the developers of clients that do not support generics, the answer was "due to the nature of the development language, it takes time to handle unknown types."
For developers, write in the v3.3 release notes, "A new notification type has been added. Be prepared for more unknown types in the future."
